On November 28, 2019, Computaris will organize a “GSM Architecture, Protocols and Security” workshop, at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology, UPB.
We will discuss GSM security issues with Razvan Rusu and Cristian Iordache, Solution Architects with over 15 years of experience in the IT and telecom domain. The Computaris experts will share their know-how and hands-on experience in projects for global mobile operators such as T-Mobile, Swisscom, Vodafone, etc., providing students with a new perspective of the concepts studied in university courses.
The workshop will include a short presentation of the GSM architecture, with focus on the current security challenges (raised by the SS7 protocol) and the existing solutions (such as the S77 Firewall). At the end of the presentation, the participants are invited to a networking session to discuss industry trends and opportunities in the tech&telco domain.
The workshop is part of a larger series of student-dedicated initiatives, including internships, tech talks and cooperations with technical faculties in top university centers. In all locations where Computaris has development centers – in Bucharest, Galati, Warsaw, Bialystok and Chisinau – the company is actively involved in supporting students and junior programmers to start and develop successful careers in technology and telecommunications.
We are looking forward to meeting you on Thursday, November 28, 2019, at 18:00, in the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and IT (ETTI), Orange hall.
Participation is open to all students based on pre-registration here: https://www.computaris.com/computaris-gsm-architecture-protocols-and-security-workshop/
