This summer has been a busy time for 30 students and junior developers doing their internships at Computaris. Here are some of their insights about the 2-month experience of learning and working alongside Computaris mentors and experts in Bucharest.
The overall internship experience
Very intense and very nice. I learned so many things, much more than I had expected when I started, and I really enjoyed it. I liked the fact that the program was adjusted to us and our learning pace. In short, it was a great and intense experience.
Ioana Mihai – Faculty of Mathematics and IT, University of Bucharest
A very good experience for my career development, I learned a lot of what I am interested in.
Matei Mocanu – Faculty of Automatics and Applied Informatics, UTCB
Highlights of the internship
My favorite part was the opportunity to work alongside such passionate people who are also available and always open to help.
Andreea Grigore – Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology, UPB
I liked the training method, how the internship was structured and how we applied what we learned. The biggest challenge was when we all had to develop an application. It was tough but also fun, I liked it a lot how we worked together. It’s a great feeling when things turn out ok.
The best part was that we applied what we learned in trainings, the overall program was very dynamic. I also liked that we worked in teams and in sprints so in one sprint we had to develop something functional and then build on top of that in the second sprint.
Corina Costea – Faculty of Management and Business, University of Bucharest
The Academy helped me improve my communication skills, I learned how to work in a team and how to apply my theoretical knowledge into a real-life project.
Ioana Craciun – Faculty of Automatics and Computers, UPB
This experience will help me to better manage a large volume of information. Teamwork is another great experience that I will take with me at the end of this internship.
Paul Ciobanu – Faculty of Cibernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics, Academy of Economic Studies
It will help me a lot because it taught me the practical part of what I learned in school. I learned what is actually required and needed among the many things we learn in faculty.
People here are very open and helpful. Our mentors would always explain things while still allowing us to find the solutions ourselves.
It was my first work experience in a company. From trainings to actual project work it was all very challenging, I’ve learned a lot in a very short time: programming concepts, teamwork skills, communication, it was all very nice and interesting.
Advice for future interns
My advice for them is to use their knowledge, to be open to learning new things and most of all to interact with everybody here because they will definitely have something to learn from each and every one of them.
I advise future interns to be prepared to learn many new things in both frontend and backend development. They should also be ready to realize what they want to do in the future as we’ve been presented many options that we can pursue in our careers.
I advise them to apply and participate because here they can find the ideal team that can help them gain valuable knowledge for the long term.
